WHO IS MR. BEARD?

Hello, my name is Mr Beard. So, what is there to say about me? Well let’s start from the beginning!

I was born in UK, spent my whole life in the city of Wells, the arguably smallest city in England, also known as the fictional town of Sandford – the home of the hit movie Hot Fuzz.

I am a 5th degree black belt in Karate which I have studied for 25 years, taught for 20 years and started my own Dojo in 2017. I am also in a kick-ass metal band, I am the drummer and co-lead-vocals.

I studied Graphic Design, Art and Music in school, then focused on Graphic Design in college before pursuing a career as a Photoshop Technician for a global footwear company. My job was to photograph the range, retouch and format all the imagery and, the most fun, render 2D shoe designs from scratch for designers to present to business executives.

That’s about it, so all you need to know about me is that I can draw, sing and kick ass!

Do you have a sketch or a visual brief and want it to come to life? Send it to me and I will have your design leaping off the page ready to present to your colleagues. This 2D photorealistic ‘render’ will contain accurate colours and textures and will look so 3D that you won’t tell the difference!

In a nutshell, this is a design, illustration or a ‘pretty picture’ consisting of many images, a well-arranged collage if you will. This design could be used for any project whether it be an album cover, a movie poster or simply a montage of your favourite people in your life to frame and put on your wall, whatever you like!

My speciality – taking an existing image and tidying it up. Is your favourite printed photograph wrinkled, creased, folded, torn, worn or even ripped? Leave it with me and I will fix up a crisp and clean digital copy of your photograph. Good as new!

Want to bring a black and white photo to life? Let’s work together to add colour and really help an old memory become reality. Maybe you want to paint your walls but don’t know what colour? Well let’s have some fun and play around with some colours!

It’s your family vacation or a weekend away with friends, you take a group photograph to capture the moment, but there is a stranger standing behind you getting in the way, no problem. Let’s discuss how we will make this a picture-perfect memory with everything you want to remember, not that man in speedos bending over at the beach!

Dust, hairs, blemishes, spots, these things can affect any photograph, especially if you are the subject and you’re trying to get that modelling contract. A few adjustments here and there can turn Marilyn Manson into Marilyn Monroe!

Whether you need that all important LinkedIn profile picture that’s gonna get you that job interview you so desperately need, or maybe you want that Tinder selfie that will get everyone swiping right (or left, don’t know, never used it). Anyway, you take the photograph and leave the rest to me!

Remember that beautiful photo frame you purchased but don’t have a photograph to fit into it? Just by adding an inch-or-so to the sides or the top will help your image to fill the whole frame. No stretching, no uneven white boarders and, more importantly, no one cut out of the shot!

Typical – you hang your favourite photograph hanging on the wall or sat in the window, the sun shines through and bleaches it over time, but you don’t have a digital copy so you think all hope is lost. Don’t worry, the doctor is in the building, let’s take a look at the patient!

RGB, CMYK, Image Size, Canvas Size, Aspect Ratio blah blah blah, that’s a lot of jargon you are probably sick to death of. That’s ok, if you know what you want, or maybe you don’t, let’s talk about your requirements. Whether a file is too many megabytes, the wrong colour format for printing or maybe you need a bunch of digital images formatted the same way – there’s an algorithm for that!

Off to work I go. A proof will be emailed to you with the invoice upon completion
